Android: add animated chart using Androidplot

To use the library in your gradle project add the following to your build.gradle:
dependencies {
    compile 'com.androidplot:androidplot-core:0.9.8'

Add a Plot to the XML Layout:

    <com.androidplot.xy.XYPlot        style="@style/PlotBkool"        android:id="@+id/plot"        android:layout_width="fill_parent"        android:layout_height="fill_parent"/>


And add this code

    plot.addSeries(timSeries, timFormatter);

    AnimatedSeries as1 = new AnimatedSeries(plot, timSeries);

    // add a new series' to the xyplot:    plot.addSeries(as1, timFormatter);

    // and another region:    XYRegionFormatter shortRegionFormatter = new XYRegionFormatter(Color.RED);

    timFormatter.addRegion(shortRegion, shortRegionFormatter);

   new Thread(as1).start();

In my case I have added a plot over a map, and this is the result:

As you can see, the plot is animated. To do this use this class:

You can configure the style of your plots using this in your style.xml
